Our story really isn't
unique.
Spend enough time in this part of the country and you'll find
there are lots of people with the same story. Like many before
us, we came to Northwest Montana to explore the backcountry of
Glacier National Park, fell in love with the turquoise lakes,
glacial peaks and velvet skies and essentially returned home
long enough to gather our belongings so as to live here
permanently.
Northwest Montana is comprised of generous, kind people, and
there is no shortage of volunteer opportunities to get involved
and participate in a welcoming community. As soon as we arrived
we began volunteering on the
Big
Mountain as Mountain Ambassadors, which facilitated our
learning the mountain inside and out.
Since then through the years we have participated in one way or
another in our local
Flathead
County Search & Rescue,
Whitefish Winter Carnival,
Stumptown Historical Society,
Whitefish Theatre Company,
The
Glacier Institute and
Whitefish Chamber of Commerce.
When we're not volunteering we're exploring. The adventures this
area offers are boundless, with new opportunities every season.
There is so much to do and see it is difficult to fit it all in,
and we live here! So it is our hope that this site will serve as
a valuable tool in your vacation planning process, helping you
to discover gems you might not otherwise uncover and select
those experiences and places that interest you and your family
most. Share with us
your experiences or make a suggestion for the site, we're
here to enjoy this incredible place together with you.
If you have never been here before prepare yourself, you may
never want to leave!
Cheers, and see you in the Park.
