Chef Marc Guizol at La Provence, Bigfork, MT
yam chips and mini cheddar bacon burgers at Invite

The perfect day for fantastic food, fun, friends, and lots of laughter!

The Taste of Bigfork was a smashing success, and it is no surprise, as the variety of taste sensations and welcoming venues made for the perfect combination. In 4 hours' time, we sampled food and drink from over 20 Bigfork restaurants and even a couple from the Swan Valley.

A green tickets gains entrance to a list of participating restaurants and locations, which requires one to roam about Bigfork's artisian village.

The ravioli at LaProvence was out of this world, as was the mini bacon cheddar burgers at Invite with yam chips. We'll return soon for the full sized version of these flavorful burgers. For the Mexican food lover Chef Kathleen Moon from the Laughing Horse Lodge had enchiladas that are ticket south of the border with the delicious combination of three chilies.

Chef Josh from the Culinary Design Studio had a phenomenal Thai beef salad and the elk satay from the Terra Restaurant was fantastic. Also featuring wild game was the Flathead Lake Lodge with a cascabel rubbed buffalo, roasted peppers & verde sauce.

The melodies of live music danced on the breezes of a perfect bluebird day as people visited from near and far to celebrate spring and Bigfork's culinary delights. Robin Gough sang at La Provence while The Leftover Biscuits did their thing at the Garden Bar. Jae Hatt played in Twin Birch Square and Hand Written Note (pictured above) played at Chris' Tea Cottage.

HILLARY INTERVIEWS A PIG ... LITERALLY

A better day couldn't be ordered. The sun was out and the food was fantastic. The raffle and party at the Garden Bar afterwards was an absolute blast!! Wish you could have been there...

The dessert offerings were as delicious and varied as the main courses. Lemon tarts, pecan chocolate squares and cherry scones with clotted cream were available at Chris' Tea Cottage, The Apple Trolley had some AMAZING candy apples and Blu Funk's homemade gourmet ice cream at Showthyme took the cake (pun intended).
