GETTING HERE
Plane: Glacier Park International
Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, Montana. It
is located 25 miles from the park's west
entrance. It is serviced by Delta
Airlines, Horizon Air and Northwest
Airlines.
Train: Amtrak's historic Empire Builder
route follows the southern border
of Glacier National Park. It stops at
East Glacier, Essex, West Glacier and
Whitefish. The Whitefish train depot is
also the home offices of GlacierAdventure.com!

capacity of the vehicle (driver not

1 – 6 passengers: $25.00 per vehicle

7 – 15 passengers: $75.00 per vehicle
16 – 25 passengers: $100.00 per vehicle
26+ passengers: $200.00
WEATHER
Daytime temperatures can exceed 90
degrees F
Overnight lows throughout the park can
drop to near 20 degrees F.
Snow can
fall at anytime!
Prepare for many different conditions
and pack accordingly. We have started
hikes in shorts and a t-shirt, and had
long johns and jackets on by the end of
the day! Dress in layers. Always bring
raingear.
SEEING GLACIERS
Jackson Glacier Overlook affords the
best opportunity to see a glacier from
the road.
Jackson Glacier Overlook is
located on the east side of the
Going-to-the-Sun Road between Logan Pass
and St. Mary.
VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
Vehicles, and vehicle combinations,
longer than 21 feet(including bumpers)
or wider than 8 feet(including mirrors),
are prohibited between Avalanche
Campground and the Sun Point parking
area. Vehicle and vehicle combinations
over 10 feet in height may have
difficulty driving west from Logan Pass
to the Loop, due to rock overhangs.
